- I am a city girl who moved South 9 years ago and has adjusted pretty well. There are things I love and miss ALOT about my home town of Chicago but there are things here in South Carolina that I would have never found there, no matter where I might have looked. My husband and two children are here and would never think of relocating "up North". This is my story of trying to raise two kids in the South and teach them that while Chicago is North of the Mason-Dixon line, it is considered the Mid-West...as well as, all of the other things they will need to know in life.
